In 2026, we're putting a brand-new metal roof over one deserving family's home at absolutely no cost to them.
How It Works
A roof is one of the most important and expensive part of any home. The Giveback Project exists to help a homeowner who needs one but can't shoulder the cost. Here's how a nomination becomes a new roof.

Nominate
Tell us about a homeowner who needs a new roof. Whether that's yourself or someone you know. Share their story and the condition of their current roof.

We Review
Our team reviews every nomination we receive and selects this year's recipient based on need, homeownership, and community impact.
3.
A New Roof
Reurink supplies the metal roofing materials and Stedfast Construction installs the new roof from start to finish, completely free to the recipient.
Nomination Details
Who Can Be Nominated
You can nominate yourself or someone else. To be selected, a nominee should meet the following:
- The nominee is the legal homeowner of the property.
- The home is owner-occupied — the nominee currently lives there.
- The property is located in our service area (Ionia, MI and surrounding communities).
- There is a demonstrated need — the roof's condition, financial hardship, or other circumstances.
- The recipient consents to the roof replacement, including any necessary inspections and project publicity.

Does the new roof really cost nothing?
Correct. Reurink Sales & Service donates all of the roofing materials and Stedfast Construction donates the labor.
The selected homeowner pays nothing.
Can I nominate someone other than myself?
Yes. You can nominate any homeowner in need! A family member, neighbor, friend, or anyone in the community.
Just fill out the form on their behalf.
What if I don't have photos of the roof?
Photos are optional but helpful. If you can include a picture of the current roof, it gives our team a clearer picture of the need.
How is the recipient chosen?
Our team reviews every nomination after the deadline and selects a recipient based on need, legal homeownership, and community impact. Selected applicants will be contacted directly.
